in 1966, both services ranked san diego state aztecs (10–0) @ top, montana state bobcats (8–2) ranked second upi , third ap, led quarterbacks don horn , dennis erickson, respectively. later met in camellia bowl in sacramento, san diego state prevailing, 28–7.
