kettle river-buckhorn
the buckhorn mine , kettle river mill located in state of washington , acquired kinross in 2006 part of acquisition of crown resources corporation. subsidiary operates buckhorn mine, while echo bay minerals operates kettle river mill. mine produces 97,000 gold equivalent ounces.
the kettle river-buckhorn mine expected close in second quarter of 2017.

in 2008, kinross acquired 40% interest in lobo-marte, located in chile, anglo american plc $141 million. in 2009, kinross acquired remaining interest $41 million, via daughter company cmm. @ december 31, 2013, kinross reported property contained 6.0 million ounces of probable gold reserves. in 2014, reserves reclassified probable measure & indicated . of december 31, 2015, kinross reported lobo-marte significant development property, although prefeasibility studies have been performed on site.
