kingdom of serbia had numerous temporary courts in administrative districts known župas. in nerodimlje župa there 3 courts of king milutin: nerodimlje (below petrič), svrčin (on island of svrčin lake) , pauni. fourth court within complex several kilometers north of pauni, on location of modern day Štimlje village.
petrič mentioned in connection struggle between stefan dušan , father stefan dečanski on throne of serbia. in 1331 stefan dušan came skadar nerodimlje overthrow father stefan dečanski fled petrič small number of men. unknown whether veliki or mali petrič. dušan first captured court in nerodimlje treasury , besieged petrič captured on 21 august 1331 , imprisoned father in zvečan fortress, strangled.
