gingival cyst of adult rare condition. incidence less 0.5%. formed rests of dental lamina. found in soft tissues on buccal , labial portions of jaw. occurs on facial gingiva single small flesh colored swelling, bluish hue due cystic fluid. sometimes, may occur in cluster, either unilaterally or bilaterally or on lingual surface of alveolar process. commonly seen in canine , premolar regions of mandible, , confused lateral periodontal cysts. not problematic, when grows larger, can cause discomfort. can removed simple surgical excision. developed late in life, sixth decade of age.
