biography

vladislav leonidovich malkevich born on 30 june 1936 in yasinovataya, donetsk region, ukrainian ssr. great patriotic war on going through childhood. father leonid petrovich malkevich served chief of south urals railroads. vladislav’s mother teacher of russian language , literature.


years in radio engineering

vladislav graduated moscow power engineering institute in 1959 majoring in radio technology. under system of job distribution current @ time sent work @ defence plant under ministry radio industry of ussr. positions were: equipment tune engineer , later foreman. after malkevich promoted position of head of section in charge of on board equipment strategic rockets. installed @ strategic launching pads manned special units of soviet army throughout country. later put in charge of 2 assembly shops @ plant. time awarded first medal government: “for work excellence”.


in 1963 v.l. malkevich appointed deputy chief engineer of same plant, covering distance rank , file engineer high position of deputy chief engineer of major defence plant in 4 years. 1966 1971 v.l. malkevich chief engineer, deputy director research of central research institute technology of ministry radio industry of ussr.

in 1971 v.l. malkevich offered position of head of major trade policy division of ministry foreign trade in charge of new technology/innovation related issues (gitu). while @ ministry, vladislav malkevich had close working relationship minister foreign trade nikolay semenovich patolichev. first deputy minister foreign trade , later president of chamber of commerce , industry of ussr v.l. malkevich chaired soviet side of american-soviet , japanese-soviet trade/economic councils.


in 1988 v.l. malkevich became president of chamber of commerce , industry of ussr, position held until 1992. major national public entity, cci had great powers in setting direct links foreign companies, helped “defrost” relations israel, sar, south korea , pioneering in relationship preceded formal diplomatic ties countries when proper embassies set up. under v.l. malkevich’s leadership cci of ussr vigorously developing local chambers of commerce , industry in autonomous republics , regions of russia.

from 1992 1998 v.l. malkevich worked @ commercial entities in russia.


there came time when v.l. malkevich’s record of successful government executive in great demand again in national effort uplift country’s economy. in 1998 offered head russian federal service currencies , exports control (vek). organization managed curb outflow of capital country working in close contact central bank of russian federation , cold start economy on revival cycle. in 1999 new law on export control passed parliament drafted direct participation of v.l. malkevich. law still current to-day mildly adjusted original form.


expocentre zao

in 2002 vladislav malkevich appointed chief executive (general director) of expocentre zao starting new cycle of success in company’s history scoring more twofold growth in gross revenue figures , on 1.8 fold increase in productivity result of considerable expansion of expocentre’s exhibitions , conventions programs. expocentre exhibition entity to-date has been awarded special prize of government of russian federation quality (2009).


under v.l. malkevich’s leadership expocentre achieved impressive results noted many reputable awards: golden mercury national prize (2005, 2011); international prize: leader of economic development of russia (2006) and: contribution in doubling of gnp-2007. international prizes: european quality (2008) award , “socrates prize” in nomination economy , business (2008) awarded in oxford, uk.


expocentre engaged in charity projects, promotes ideas of preservation , restoration of russian spiritual life , cultural traditions. church dedicated reverend serafim sarovsky has been built on expocentre fairgrounds (the first church in russia built on premises of exhibition venue). expocentre helps development of ladia project, unique show of russian crafts. expocentre general sponsor of kostroma national dancing company.


in 2011 vladislav leonidovich malkevich handed on personal collection of art made of on 200 pieces of painting , graphics gift expocentre.
