natural enemies of red-billed quelea include other birds, snakes, warthogs, squirrels, galagos, monkeys, mongooses, genets, civets, foxes, jackals, hyaenas, cats, lions , leopards. bird species preying on queleas included lanner falcon, tawny eagle , marabou stork. diederik cuckoo brood parasite lays eggs in nests of queleas. predators, such snakes, raid nests , eat eggs , chicks. nile crocodiles attack drinking queleas, , individual in ethiopia hit birds out of vegetation on bank water tail, subsequently eating them. queleas drinking @ waterhole grabbed below african helmeted turtles in etosha. among invertebrates kill , eat youngsters armoured bush cricket (acanthoplus discoidalis) , scorpion cheloctonus jonesii. internal parasites found in queleas include haemoproteus , plasmodium.
