spring kicks off stillwater public education foundation s taste of stillwater, fundraiser held each march. other events include stillwater elks bbq blaze-a-thon, tumbleweed calf fry , oklahoma special olympics’ annual summer games. years, stillwater has played host special olympics oklahoma in may when thousands of athletes , hundreds of volunteers gather 3 days of competition , olympic-style ceremonies. largest amateur sporting event in oklahoma, , largest special olympics event in u.s. held in spring stillwater home builders association s home , garden show, , remember 10 run. stillwater arts festival in third decade. festival two-day juried art show held in april features live, local entertainment, artist demonstrations , children’s activities.

in summer, there krazy daze shopping extravaganza , payne county fair. independence day, stillwater hosts annual boomer blast fireworks show @ boomer lake park. stillwater farmers market held april through october on wednesdays , saturdays.


the fall season begins collegefest, osu student government association s lights on stillwater, trade-show style event held on osu library lawn students learn local restaurants, shops , services, , downtown stillwater car show. annual downtown stillwater halloween festival held tuesday before halloween , includes costume contest.


since 1920, oklahoma state has welcomed alumni “america’s greatest homecoming celebration”. each year more 70,000 alumni , friends return campus , participate in parade. more twenty years, eskimo joe s juke joint jog 5k , fun run has been held in fall benefit stillwater area united way.
