twh bus & coach located in stowmarket , traded classic bus anglia, until moving rainham , collier row. twh briefly involved imperial buses of rainham. imperial buses purchased twh during september 2007, 2 companies divided again in january 2008. twh began public bus operations route 55, operated in competition imperial buses, between loughton , harlow. competition lasted 6 months until february 2009, twh withdrawing service. imperial buses withdrew route h1 in december 2009, resulting in twh recommencing route 55 on 21 december 2009.
after stansted transit went liquidation, excel coaches temporarily took on route 392 (harlow hoddesdon via nazeing , broxbourne) until permanent operator found. twh took on route on 1 september 2009 becoming twh s first route enter hertfordshire, , first route receive financial assistance essex county council.
on 3 april 2010 new route 555 began, replacing 55. 555 operated between loughton , harlow via waltham abbey , waltham cross. operated in competition arriva shires & essex routes 250 , 505. new links had been made debden estate has not had direct link waltham abbey , waltham cross before. farthingale lane section withdrawn within days of first week of operation, after residents blocked road in protest against buses running down road. twh moved base waltham abbey in 2010, after route 555 began.
on 24 january 2011, twh further expanded routes. route 555 altered no longer served waltham cross @ times of day , served ninefields area of waltham abbey instead of shernbroke road. @ same time, route 255 introduced operating original route 555 between waltham cross , debden (partly replacing parts of original 555). changes route 555 meant waltham cross no longer had fast service harlow, new route 355 introduced between these 2 places, via waltham abbey , lower nazeing.
on 14 february 2011, express route x5 introduced filling missing link between harlow , romford stops @ epping, debden , chigwell row. on 1 february 2011, part of twh business sold newly formed lea valley buses. included routes 255 (debden waltham cross) , 555 (debden harlow). in march 2011, twh relocated depot waltham abbey loughton.
in august 2012, twh lost both of school routes (33/53) other operators, gained 4 routes. 26 august 2012 twh operate ecc contract 31 (chelmsford maldon), 268 (brentwood grays, running on schooldays only), 269 (brentwood grays) , new route e20 (stratford harlow).
in january 2014, twh discontinued of routes , ceased trading unknown reasons.
