the final of 100 metre race, run on 10 april, involved 6 runners had finished in top 2 of preliminary heats. thomas curtis withdrew save himself 110 metre hurdles, next race on program , won. burke beat companion third heat, hofmann, 2 meters. lane , szokolyi dead-heated third place, chalkokondylis 6 inches behind them.
