before era in first single-celled organism formed on earth, elder god demiurge achieved consciousness after being formed , coalesced earth s biosphere. conditions on earth began support life, became self-aware. wanting know itself, demiurge split countless aspects, 1 of evidently became chthon. consequently, chthon billions of years old.

the elder gods forerunners modern gods , demons of earth. other contemporary demons become known elder gods set , belathauzer. gaea came being , protector of emerging life began in seas. oshtur, sister gaea , other elder gods, left earth in search of mysteries of universe. chthon began devoting study , manipulation of mystical energies, becoming earth s first master of black magic, experimenting on fellow gods.
