the waterfront redeveloped in late 1990s. beginning north, buildings along quay nykredit s head office (2001, schmidt hammer lassen), copenhagen marriott hotel (2001, plh architects), engineer s house (1998, kieler architects) , fisketorvet shopping centre (2000, kieler architects). havneholmen mixed-use development subsequently built on reclaimed land in front of fisketorvet. in 2011, nykredit expanded headquarters new building, crystal, on other side of street. new plaza created in front of building.

the kalvebod wave designed jds architects , klar , inaugurated in 2013. consists of undulating wooden boardwalk creates various new spaces sitting, promenading , water-related activities.
