aignes-et-puypéroux commune located 25 kilometres due south of angoulême, in highway d674 passes through heart of commune north south , on montmoreau-saint-cybard. highway d54 runs through heart of commune perignac in west d16 in south-east. both highways intersect @ village of aignes-et-puypéroux.
the railway line paris-austerlitz bordeaux-saint-jean passes through southern part of commune north-east south-west. nearest train station montmoreau, 10 km south of commune, served ter running between angoulême , bordeaux.

bounded on north-west stream of chaverrut (name of upstream part of arce), sub-tributary of charente , in south tude, tributary of dronne , sub-tributary of dordogne. territory of municipality split between 2 basins of charente (17% of area) , gironde (83% of area).
there several streams, tributaries of tude: dead water stream, gouyat pond stream (also called ribérat in upper part ), moulin d aignes creek, , moulin brunet stream.
