the park inn hotel received complete interior , exterior renovation numerous grants, coordination @ local level. included comprehensive restoration of brick , terra-cotta façade, replacement of art glass skylight windows, , complete interior reconstruction.


wright on park, inc., organization overseeing work, purchased adjacent city bank building , reunited park inn hotel city national bank. bank building refitted elevator , provides 6 additional rooms hotel; old bank lobby hotel ballroom.


the restoration completed in september 2011. builds on mason city’s rich architectural heritage, includes history deep in prairie school architecture not wright, many of associates built in mason city, including walter burley griffin, marion mahony griffin, william eugene drummond , francis barry byrne.
