parker transferred second-rate hms russell , bomb vessel hms firedrake in mediterranean fleet , saw action again during war of austrian succession. moved second-rate hms barfleur, flagship of rear-admiral william rowley, in january 1744 , took part in battle of toulon in february 1744, before transferring second-rate hms neptune, flagship of vice-admiral richard lestock, in march 1744 , returning england. promoted captain on 6 may 1747, became commanding officer of sixth-rate hms margate later month , deployed protecting commercial shipping, first in channel , in mediterranean.
parker became commanding officer of fifth-rate hms woolwich in 1757 , transferred fourth-rate hms bristol in january 1759. in hms bristol took part in invasion of guadeloupe in may 1759 during 7 years war. given command of third-rate hms buckingham in 1760 , took part in capture of belle Île in spring 1761. transferred command of third-rate hms terrible in 1762 , retired active service in 1763 @ end of war.
