there 2 ways teen patti played. 1 using standard 52-card deck , adding 2 joker cards, used wild cards. in both versions, ranking rules card same:3-6-9 highest rank , 2s lowest. object of game have best three-card hand , maximize pot before showdown. hand of higher category beats hand of lower category.
the categories ranked follows:
three of kind (trio or trail)
three of same cards. 3 aces highest , 3 twos lowest trio. hand called trail , straight called sequence or round , in areas term straight trail .
straight flush (pure sequence, pure trail, pakki round)
three consecutive cards of same suit. in areas trio called trail, hand called pakki (pure) round.
the order of ranking highest (defined highest card in sequence) lowest is: a-k-q, a-a,a k-q-j, q-j-10, , on down 4-3-2.
note: in three-card poker, played in , perhaps other countries, a-2-3 straight least ranking straight, lower a-a-a, , referred a-a-a straight.

a pure sequence ranks higher trio, because ranking of hands decided probability (less probable hand ranks higher), , probability of being dealt pure sequence less of trio.

if 2 players have same combination pot split between two, no matter of 2 players asked showdown. in variation, suits hold ranks, highest/top/rank card of straight combination compared. player top card of higher suit (spade, heart, diamond, , club in descending order of rank) wins pot.
colour: 3 cards of same suit. when comparing 2 colours, compare highest card; if these equal compare second; if these equal too, compare lowest. highest colour a-k-j , lowest 5-4-2.
flush (colour)
all 3 cards of same suit. if 2 players have color bet divided
in flush (colour) a-k-j spade highest , 2-4-5 club least.
pair (double)
two cards of same rank. between 2 pairs, 1 higher value winner. if pairs of equal value, odd/kicker card determines winner. therefore lowest pair 2-2-3 , highest a-a-k.
no pair (high card)
if 2 players share common high card, rest of cards compared based upon values.
