from 1946 1964 broadlands, opposite college grounds in ramshill, preparatory school churcher s. grade ii listed in 1949.
for of 20th century churcher s college operated voluntary aided grammar school. in 1979, hampshire county council decided cease maintain college, became independent fee-paying school. school s expanding population (by mid-20th century school educated 400 boys, of whom quarter boarded) has necessitated addition of number of modern buildings alongside original 1881 buildings.
girls first admitted sixth form in 1980, , school became co-educational in 1988. reflecting naval history, college s houses named after naval heroes drake, grenville, nelson , rodney, later addition of collingwood.
in 1993 school purchased morton house school in petersfield, became churcher s college junior school. senior school before it, junior school successful, , outgrew premises. following unsuccessful attempt relocate in petersfield, school purchased existing school campus in liphook (littlefield s school), 2003 became junior school s new site.
