beirut central district has 2 marinas, west , east of new waterfront district. beirut west marina west of central district, within short walking distance of beirut souks, biel , historic core. west marina provides mooring 164 boats on average annually, having been opened in 2001. capacity stands @ 186 boats, ranging 5 65 meters, three-quarters of mooring area accommodating boats of more 25 meters long. solidere developed , operating west marina part of 50-year agreement lebanese government, includes planned underground corniche car park. construction on east marina commence in 2013 in northeast quarter of waterfront district.
