athanasios skaltsogiannis of greece , kurt doerry of germany competed, though final positions not recorded.

the final of 110 metre hurdles run on 10 april. reichel unable compete in final serving assistant albin lermusiaux in marathon, , hoyt withdrew in order prepare pole vault; thus, 2 athletes competed, finished within one-tenth of second. goulding led @ final hurdle, being better hurdler, curtis passed him in straight , won tight race 2 inches.
