nomvethe started playing striker durban-based lower league club durban cosmos in 1994, moved claremont blizzards.


african wanderers

when claremont blizzards folded following year, nomvethe moved african wanderers in second best south african league. helped club secure promotion , nomvethe made first appearances in premier soccer league, playing alongside later bafana bafana striker sibusiso zuma , phumlani mkhize. in debut season, scored brace against chiefs.


kaizer chiefs

in july 1998, moved on become part of striking force of kaizer chiefs. following 42 goals in 79 games kaizer chiefs, nomvethe moved abroad in 2001. touted coming star bafana bafana. nomvethe made debut on 8 august 1998 , scored in 2–1 loss bloemfontein celtic. injured himself , out of action few months did come later on season , scored total of 8 goals. nomvethe put in place of pollen ndlanya left team , score 22 goals in competition including 3 in bobsave super bowl chiefs win first silverware of new millennium. scored 11 goals on either half of season , scored chiefs first goal of millennium on 8 january 2000 against old team african wanderers. scored 18 goals in competitions next season scoring tenth against ria stars on 21 january 2001. scored last goal on 24 april 2001 in 5–0 win on bloemfontein celtic in bobsave super bowl quarter final in 65th minute 58th chiefs.


udinese

he signed italian club udinese calcio of serie a. in 2002, selected play south africa @ 2002 fifa world cup. made presence clear when scoring winning goal of 1–0 win against slovenia. following 2 unsuccessful years @ udinese, nomvethe loaned out smaller italian clubs salernitana calcio , empoli f.c. january 2004 june 2005. subsequently loaned out 6 months djurgårdens if in sweden, before permanently left udinese in december 2005. moved south africa, signing on orlando pirates.


aalborg bk

in july 2006, once again moved abroad, time play aalborg boldspilklub (aab) in danish superliga. stayed aab 3 years, won danish superliga 2007-08 championship club, , scored goal in penalty shoot-out aab eliminated manchester city in uefa cup 2008-09 round of 16.


moroka swallows

in 2009, nomvethe moved south africa join moroka swallows, rivals of 2 soweto giants, kaizer chiefs , orlando pirates represented during domestic career. nomvethe @ age of 34, won psl footballer of year, absa player of season, players player of season , lesley manyathela golden boot 20 goals @ 2011/12 psl awards total of r600,000.


amazulu fc

nomvethe plays amazulu fc in second tier of south african football having joined team in january 2016.
