the album officially released on cd on july 7, 1987 warner special products. of note of running times located on of cd case incorrect. instance, sweet jane marked 3:55 while in fact 3:18; new age marked 5:20 while closer 4:39.

rhino records released loaded, two-cd reissue of loaded, on february 18, 1997. contains numerous alternate takes, alternate mixes, , demo versions of loaded songs , outtakes, including performances maureen tucker (the demos of m sticking , vocals, , found reason , drums). there orchestral alternate-take recording of ocean liner notes erroneously credit john cale on organ. according 1995 interview doug yule, played organ on recording, strings used on track 2 cellos , double bass provided session musicians followed yule s musical chart , instructions, , couldn t recall cale ever coming sessions.
