during reign, scientific operation of iron mines started first time , gorumahsini mines leased tatas. in 1903, commissioned narrow gauge railway line rupsa baripada known mayurbhanj state railway. during reign 474 miles of road built in state connecting divisional towns baripada. baripada municipality constituted him in 1905. started english high school boarding facility, government press, equipped hospital , leper asylum in baripada.
