mcgee made minor league debut in 2004, , spent 2004 , 2005 princeton devil rays , hudson valley renegades. in 2006, mcgee spent year southwest michigan devil rays. played both vero beach devil rays , montgomery biscuits in 2007. spent entire 2008 montgomery biscuits, going 6–4 3.94 era. mcgee rated baseball america third-best organizational prospect tampa bay rays , 15th overall mlb prospect in 2008. in 2007, ranked 5th in rays organization , 37th overall in of baseball.
