after 2 years of symptoms , misdiagnoses 8 doctors, drescher admitted los angeles s cedars sinai hospital on june 21, 2000, after doctors diagnosed uterine cancer. had undergo immediate radical hysterectomy treat disease. drescher given clean bill of health , no post-operative treatment ordered.


she wrote experiences in second book, cancer schmancer. purpose book raise consciousness men , women become more aware of warning signs of cancer, , empower themselves. drescher says, going learn needed learn, ask questions, become partners doctor instead of having kind of parent/child relationship.
