when, in time, technological advances developed allow manufacture of safe flint material in 1906, louis aronson s ambition automatic pocket lighter became reality. in 1913, louis aronson applied patent liter (lighter), approved. in 1926 released new automatic operation banjo lighter, offered both ignition , extinguish in single push. great success, demand shortly exceeding supply, spurring aronson patent , design other products around invention, marketed under ronson brand name. under leadership, art metal works began designing prototypes, , patented several generations of igniting-apparatus until arriving @ banjo lighter. ronson received exclusive patent, in 1926, new automatic style of lighter worked 1 hand, , in 1927 ronson began marketed ronson de-light lighter slogan flip - , s lit! release - , s out! ronson s new lighters overnight success worldwide , company offered variety of lighters tastes.
