in 1998, after westminster college acquired oxford brookes university, caldecott taught course called christianity , society @ plater college in headington, on other side of oxford.


caldecott g.k. chesterton research fellow @ st. benet s hall, oxford. devotion chesterton led becoming of expert on him. served commissioning editor catholic truth society.


from 2010, , wife leonie, served co-editors of uk , ireland edition of magnificat. became founding editor of journal humanum , under aegis of washington dc john paul ii institute.

in 1994 caldecotts founded research centre in oxford called centre faith & culture (cfc), associated chesterton review , international review communio. newsletter, faith & culture bulletin, offered free of charge. oxford centre partnership between westminster college in oxford @ botley (where physically located) , edinburgh theological publishers t&t clark. 2 partners divided costs between them, , centre s activities equally divided between conferences , publications. before long provided home g.k. chesterton library created mr aidan mackey. in 1998, after westminster college acquired oxford brookes university, cfc moved plater college in headington, maintaining activities partial support t&t clark , g.k. chesterton institute, founded rev. ian j. boyd csb, publisher of chesterton review.


in 2002, after demise of plater college, centre faith & culture merged several years g.k. chesterton institute, creating g.k. chesterton institute faith & culture , based @ seton hall university in new jersey oxford centre in king street, oxford. after 2006 seton hall ceased support centre in oxford , became independent again.


second spring

caldecott co-director of second spring, (named after john henry newman s famous sermon of 1852, in newman predicted revival of catholicism in england). second spring appeared in 1992 8-page quarterly supplement in american catholic world report. in 2001 second spring merged newsletter of centre , started appear 80-page journal twice year.


the caldecotts, artist david clayton, started company called ressource develop educational projects in spirit of second spring, ceased trading after clayton took post @ thomas more college of liberal arts in new hampshire. caldecotts, along eldest daughter teresa, founded own company, second spring oxford ltd, in order manage several editorial contracts undertaking own publishing programme. thomas more college became distributor of second spring journal, sending students summer school organised second spring in oxford.
