at end of 2009, despite successful season in cups, won celtic society , macaulay cup, davie macpherson retired position manager replaced john smylie.[1] macpherson successful manager in history of club.


smylie s first success manager 2010 glasgow celtic society cup in inveraray overturned two-goal deficit defeat kyles athletic 3–2. inveraray s fifth successive celtic society cup triumph , saw gary , graeme macpherson collect twelfth winners medal each, new record competition. inveraray s 20th victory in competition.[2]


inveraray lost grip on celtic society cup in 2011 kyles athletic winning trophy. inveraray of season in danger of losing premier league status. late season rally saw aray survive on goal difference @ expense of oban camanachd. club did make impact in camanachd cup defeating kyles 4–1 holding eventual winners newtonmore 2–2 on 90 minutes in semi-final. despite having man sent off newtonmore proved strong in period , triumphed 5–2.


inveraray regained celtic society cup in 2012. kyles defeated 1–0 in quarter-final , inverary secured place in final 6–3 win on bute. inveraray proceeded win final against taynuilt record margin of 14–0. match marked taynuilt s first appearance in senior final.


inveraray progressed camanachd cup final first time since 2007 , faced rivals kyles athletic in second south final in history of tournament. inveraray led 4–2 @ half-time , 5–3 ahead in second half before kyles embarked on famous fightback win epic match 6–5. inveraray captain scott robertson retired after match , manager john smylie stood down @ end of season, many seeing match last stand of current inveraray team.


2013 saw brothers graeme , garry macpherson take on joint player managers. promising younger players making impact, inveraray did better many expected in premier league, finishing in 3rd position. there frustration in cup tournaments old rivals kyles athletic won 3 narrow encounters. kyles defeated inveraray 1–0 in camanachd cup, followed win on penalties in celtic society cup final following 0–0 draw. in macaulay cup kyles prevailed 4–2 in time.


the 2014 season saw senior team retain place in premier league, , reach final of celtic cup, beaten 6-2 kyles. junior team champions in south division 2, , reached bullough cup final. there macquiston cup final win u-17 s become south champions.


inveraray began 2015 landmark 1-0 home win on premier league champions newtonmore. team didn t win league match until end of season when relegation had been confirmed. team again saved best cups. aray reached camanachd cup semi-final injury ravaged team lost in extra-time eventual winners lovat. inveraray reached macaulay cup outclassed 3-1 newtonmore. game marked end of era goalkeeper graeme macmacpherson stood down first team.


2016 saw ruaraidh graham took on first team manager several young players had played under him in junior team stepping top team. although aray didn t win promotion, advanced finals of both celtic society , macaulay cup finals. late goals in both games secured wins kyles , kinlochshiel, inveraray s young players impressed , brought great hope future.
