watford

born in harrow, london, o toole spent end of 2006–07 season on loan @ wealdstone in southern football league premier division made 9 appearances , scored 3 goals. watford debut against southend united in league cup 71st-minute substitute on 28 august 2007. made league debut 4 days later 88th-minute substitute against ipswich town. in september 2007 signed first professional contract, one-year deal.


o toole scored first goal watford @ home against bristol city on 1 december 2007. coming on substitute in 82nd minute, headed goal 3 minutes later make score 1–1, although watford went on lose 1–2. in next game started in place of captain gavin mahon , scored again, header, in 2–3 win away @ colchester united. third goal club came on 26 january 2008 in 4–1 home defeat against wolverhampton wanderers in fa cup 4th round. performance next weekend, once again @ home wolves, won him place in football league team of week.


sheffield united (loan)

o toole signed three-month loan deal sheffield united in february 2009 making debut couple of weeks later in 2–1 away victory on coventry. o toole went on make 9 appearances blades season, scoring 1 goal in local derby against barnsley @ start of april. unfortunately picked training-ground injury in final week of season , unable appear sheffield united in play-off final @ wembley. blades failing win promotion, o toole returned watford @ end of loan period.


colchester united (loan)

on 2 september 2009, o toole joined colchester united on three-month loan deal until january 2010. made debut in 0–0 draw away @ southampton, , scored first goal in 1–1 draw against tranmere rovers.


colchester united

o toole made loan spell permanent on 1 january 2010, signing deal keep him @ colchester until 2012. made debut on 23 january against gillingham in 0–0 draw. o toole scored first goal full-time colchester player in 3–2 defeat against bristol rovers. o toole suffered serious knee injury against charlton left him out 9 months, after rupturing cruciate ligament. groin problems had restricted him 16 appearances in 2011–12 season, on 7 june 2012, o toole signed new two-year deal, keeping midfielder @ club until 2014.


bristol rovers (loan)

on 31 december 2012, o toole signed league 2 team bristol rovers, on one-month deal. move saw him link former colchester manager john ward, had joined rovers. made debut following day in 2–1 win on plymouth argyle. scored first goal club in convincing 3–0 away win on fleetwood town on 12 january 2013 18-yard strike seal win. scored in 3–0 emphatic victory on burton albion on 2 march 2013, scoring close-range. in final game of loan spell, scored opening goal in 4–2 away victory on dagenham & redbridge. o toole made 18 appearances alongside scoring 3 goals club in loan extended until 1 april 2013. manager ward expressed interest in signing him permanently on summer, o toole still having 1 year run on colchester contract.

after long protracted transfer saga, o toole signed three-year contract bristol rovers, joining undisclosed fee on 24 july 2013. season proved bittersweet o toole. ended season rovers top scorer 15 goals , included in pfa team of year league 2 rovers suffered relegation out of football league first time since admission in 1920. followed o toole activating release clause rovers leaving him free join new club on 30 may 2014.


northampton town

o toole signed northampton town on three-year contract on 30 june 2014.


he became cult figure @ club, fans wearing wigs similar long dark hair.
