the north palatine uplands lie – stated – between st. wendel in state of saarland west , 3 towns belonging rhineland-palatinate: alzey east, kaiserslautern south , bad kreuznach north, although these towns not within region itself. north palatine uplands links landscapes of palatine forest, saar-hunsrück nature park, naheland , rheinhessen.
to northwest boundary naheland not clear. rough guide heavily folded ridge north of glan river height different of as 300 metres in place.
the north palatine uplands fall within districts of kusel , donnersbergkreis. lesser extent falls within parts of kaiserslautern, st. wendel, birkenfeld , bad kreuznach.
